Jasleen Atwal
Hi and welcome! My name is Jasleen, and I’m a counselling practicum student who is passionate about helping people feel understood, supported, and more confident in themselves. I’ve always been drawn to understanding people, their experiences, and what shapes the way they see themselves and the world. I believe everyone has a story worth listening to and deserves a space where they can feel heard without judgment.
My counselling approach is rooted in person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches. I value creating a safe, welcoming space where we can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while building self-awareness and working toward meaningful growth.
I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. Whether you’re navigating a difficult time, feeling overwhelmed, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, you don’t need to have all the answers to begin. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you at your own pace.
I believe growth doesn’t always happen in big moments; sometimes, it begins in the quiet moments when we finally give ourselves the space to breathe, reflect, and become. I look forward to being part of your journey.

Mandeep Swaich
Hi, I’m Mandy. If you’ve found yourself here, I want to acknowledge the courage it can take to consider counselling and take a step toward yourself.
I’m a mom, a counselling therapy student, and someone who genuinely values human connection. My own life experiences have taught me that life can be complicated, relationships can be challenging, and sometimes we can find ourselves carrying more than we realize. These experiences have shaped the warmth, compassion, and curiosity I bring into the counselling space. I value authenticity and believe people deserve a place where they can show up exactly as they are, without judgment or expectation.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Somatic practices, and holistic approaches. I’m particularly interested in exploring how our experiences can shape our emotions, relationships, patterns, and nervous system responses, and how greater awareness can support healing, emotional regulation, and a deeper connection with ourselves.
I have a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and women of all ages. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional and behavioural challenges, self-esteem, relationship and parenting difficulties, stress, burnout, life transitions, personal growth, and self-discovery.
Most importantly, I hope to create a space where you feel heard, understood, supported, and safe to be yourself. If my approach resonates with you, I would be honoured to connect, get to know your story, and walk alongside you as you move toward greater understanding, healing, and connection with yourself.

Hi, my name is Candice and I am a counseling student at Stenberg College.
Changes can sometimes be hard to accept. Demands from the job or school can take their toll. Getting or asking for help can be difficult.
I am originally from a small rural town and like many found myself moving closer to a major city for college and better work opportunities. I hold a Diploma in Aviation from a religious university college and have worked and volunteered in the aviation industry (not as a pilot). I also have over a decade experience working for a major shipping company.
My aim is to create safe place where you feel welcomed and safe.

(She/Her/Hers)
Hello! My name is Chantal, and I’m a counselling student at Stenberg College. I am deeply interested in the ways our relationships, life experiences, and sense of self shape the way we move through the world. Outside of counselling, I’m a mom, a student, and someone who values authenticity, meaningful conversation, humour, and personal growth. I believe people heal best when they feel genuinely seen, understood, and safe enough to be honest about what they are experiencing.
I’m especially interested in working with adults who are navigating relationships, attachment, self-worth, emotional patterns, intimacy, and the effects of past experiences on their present lives. My approach is relational and person-centered, with a particular interest in attachment, emotion-focused, narrative, and somatic approaches. I hope to create a space where clients can explore themselves with curiosity and compassion while building a deeper understanding of their patterns, needs, relationships, and sense of who they are.
Wherever you find yourself right now, I’d be grateful for the opportunity to meet you there.

Michael Granger
(He/Him)
Hello, my name is Michael. I am a second-year counselling student in practicum with Stenberg Wellness Centre.
I have navigated family loss, divorce, job loss, and substance abuse. I have spent 25 years in the corporate world. All of this has given me a lot of insight into myself and led me to a career in counselling.
I’m passionate about helping people get in touch with the parts of themselves that they may feel they have lost along the way due to work, life, stress, anxiety, substance use, or anything else. I believe we never really lose these parts and that reconnecting with them can give us the strength to be our full selves and to deal with anything life throws at us.
I’m also interested in supporting children with learning disabilities or who are struggling in any way. I have had my own journey at a younger age with learning disabilities, social anxiety, and bullying. It is an incredibly vulnerable time and being able to support and help ease that burden in any way is something I am here for.
I take a slow and measured approach in my therapeutic relationships. I want to get to know you and what you are facing. We will work together to understand what changes you want to make and make sure that those changes are sustainable. You are at the centre of this process and will remain the expert about yourself. I am hear to help you navigate with patience, honesty, and care. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as somatic and mindfulness practices.
I offer a judgement-free space for anything you are experiencing and feeling. If you need to cry, I’m here for it. If you need to scream, I’m here for it.
You may already know what you want help with and you may not. I would be honoured to help in either case. If you’re reading this you’ve already taken one of the hardest steps, which is to start looking for help. That takes bravery, courage, and honesty with yourself.
If you’d like to get started, or have any questions or curiosities about counselling or my process, please book a 30-minute introductory session.
I’m here for it. Ready to listen.

Priya Naidu
(She/Her)
Welcome to a space, where you can just be! My name is Priya and as a student counsellor I hope to create a space where you can feel comfortable, safe, supported, and understood. Maybe you’re navigating something difficult, questioning your confidence, trying to understand your relationships, or simply hoping to feel more like yourself again. Whatever brings you here, your experiences matter.
My path into counselling has been shaped by my own experiences navigating life challenges, which has led me to believe that behind every person is a story worth understanding, including the parts that may be difficult to explain. We are shaped by our beliefs, experiences, and relationships, but we are also capable of growing beyond the patterns we’ve learned. That belief shapes the kind of counsellor I hope to become. Someone who listens without judgment, values genuine connection, and approaches each person with curiosity, compassion, and an appreciation for their individuality.
As a student counsellor, I am particularly interested in attachment patterns, boundaries, confidence, family and childhood experiences, self-worth, and healthier coping strategies. I value an approach that is collaborative, flexible and centred around you, drawing from person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, and solution-focused perspectives depending on your needs and goals. I hope to meet you where you are, whether that means exploring your past, understanding your present, or discovering what you’d like your future to look like.
You don’t need to know exactly where to begin, know what to say or do, or be ready to make changes immediately. Sometimes the first step is simply having someone listen. Your story is yours, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to listen to a part of it.
If something you’ve read here resonates with you, I would be happy to meet you. A 30-minute introductory session can be a starting point for us to connect, answer any questions you may have, and see whether working together feels comfortable for you. If none of my available times fit your schedule, feel free to email me at priya.naidu451@stenberg.college and we can find an option that works for you.
Whether we work together or not, thank you for taking the time to consider me. Reaching out can be the beginning of something meaningful, even when you’re not sure what comes next. Whatever your next chapter holds, I hope you remember that it’s yours to discover and write.

Hi, I’m Ash!
I’m a counselling practicum student at Stenberg College. My years of working closely with people, along with my own life experiences, have taught me that life can be complicated, and sometimes we all need a little support navigating it.
My approach to counselling is compassionate and honest. I believe in listening without judgment, but I also believe there’s value in asking tough questions, challenging old patterns, and looking at things from a different perspective. Sometimes we need someone to simply listen, and sometimes we need a little help getting out of our own way.
I’m particularly interested in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, self-worth, emotional regulation, and major life transitions. I’m also passionate about men’s mental health and making counselling feel more approachable for those who may find it difficult to open up.
Above all, I hope to be someone you can talk to honestly—even about the things that are difficult to say out loud, and I’d be happy to meet you wherever you are in that process.

Ms. Buffy Rivard
Hi, I’m Buffy. Sometimes, life gets messy. You might feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or wondering how things got so complicated. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, or a major life change, counselling offers a space to slow down, sort through what’s going on, and explore what could be different.
Maybe you’re looking to build confidence or better understand yourself and your relationships. Wherever you’re starting from, we can work together to find a way forward that feels right for you.
My own experiences—including a fast-paced consulting career, the impacts of addiction within a family, relationship challenges, and significant loss—have taught me a lot about life’s messy parts and the importance of connection, balance, and making space for what matters.
My approach is warm, practical, collaborative, and non-judgmental, with a bit of an edge. Sometimes you just need someone to listen; other times, a gentle challenge or fresh perspective can make a difference. I draw from person-centred, strengths-based, solution-focused, and narrative approaches, tailoring our work to you.
Outside of counselling, you’ll find me enjoying the Okanagan’s mountains, sun, and sand, or rolling out my yoga mat for a little me time.
Wondering if we’d be a good fit? Let’s connect for an introductory session. No pressure to have it all figured out—just a chance to see how it feels.

Hello! My name is Hannah,
I have always been passionate and eager to learn about the counseling world. My own life experiences have led me to explore counseling for myself, which has made a huge impact on my mindset and given me the tools to guide myself through the trials of life. I am excited to give others the chance to explore the world of counseling and learn more about themselves in the process!
I am interested in counseling primarily adults and youth on many issues including : inter-family conflict, grief, emotional changes, growing pains, and the many other situations that life can throw at us.
The counselling style I am currently feeling drawn towards is more Emotions Focused Therapy, but I am also interested in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solutions Focused Therapy. Izette Fry
(She/Her)
Hello, I’m Izette!
I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially when life feels overwhelming or you’re carrying experiences that are difficult to make sense of. Whatever brings you here, you deserve a space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.
As a counselling student at Stenberg College and a certified life coach, I bring a background in supporting people as they navigate challenges, explore their experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. My own journey, including immigrating to Canada from South Africa with my family and navigating different roles and stages of life, has deepened my appreciation for the many ways our experiences shape us.
I welcome the opportunity to support individuals facing a range of challenges, whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, difficult emotions, past experiences that continue to affect you, relationship concerns, self-doubt, or changes in your life. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what you need. Sometimes, having the space to talk openly and make sense of what you’re experiencing is a meaningful place to begin.
My developing counselling approach is grounded in humanistic and person-centred principles. I value the uniqueness of each person’s experiences and believe that feeling safe enough to explore our thoughts, emotions, and personal stories can help us develop greater self-understanding and self-compassion. Drawing on my coaching background, I also bring a strengths-based perspective, recognising that even when life feels difficult, there may be inner resources and possibilities that can be explored at your own pace.
This is your journey, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I would be honoured to walk alongside you as we explore what you’re experiencing, helping you find space for greater understanding, acceptance, and a way forward that feels right for you.
If you are unsure about whether working with me will be a fit for you, please go ahead and book the 30-minute introductory call.
I look forward to connecting with you.
